All our services are accredited, accessible, affordable, of high quality and available to anyone in our wider Hauraki community.
We have five Whānau Health Centres located in Thames, Coromandel, Te Aroha, Paeroa and Whitianga. Contact details are listed here.
You can access any of our services as either a casual or a registered patient with no referral required.

Together we aim to maintain your independence, your dignity and your quality of life.
Ohu Kāinga services are fully funded for eligible kaumātua and clients. Please discuss your eligibility and the referral process with your GP or Practice Nurse.
The Ohu Kāinga team of service coordinators and support workers will work alongside you to develop a Service Plan that will meet your individual needs. The team are dedicated, professional, experienced and care deeply for the whānau that they support.

On-going assessment and assistance during these early years ensures our tamariki get the best possible start in life. Regular milestone checks conducted by our nursing team enable us to identify specific needs and enable us to provide access to additional services where required.
Four year olds are given a B4 School check - hearing, vision and growth - ensuring their readiness for school.

Caring for our kaumatua is one of the most important services at Te Korowai Hauora o Hauraki.
We provide a range of services tailored to meet the unique needs of Kuia and Koroua in our rohe including Disability Information and Advisory Services (DIAS), specialised Kaumātua Programme and Mirimiri.
DIAS is an advisory service providing information for clients with physical, intellectual or sensory impairments.
Our programme is driven by kaumātua, for kaumātua and offers health forums which help to keep the mind active.
A combination of techniques is used to gently balance wellness of body, mind and soul through monthly programmes
DIAS is an advisory service providing information for clients with physical, intellectual or sensory impairments. DIAS works with Community Link i.e. WINZ, including Disability Allowance, overseas pensions, Housing NZ, applications for mobility scooters and grants through the Lottery Grants Commission. The service works with other health professionals and community groups e.g. hearing liaison, and provides information on dental care.
The services of the DIAS are targeted at under 65s with disabilities, over 65s with Community Service Cards and Kaumātua.

The Te Korowai Hauora o Hauraki Kaumātua programme is facilitated as part of the Waikato DHB Kuia & Koroua Services contract. Our programme is driven by kaumātua, for kaumātua and offers health forums which help to keep the mind active.
He oranga anō o roto i ngā mahi o tēnei kaupapa hei hikohiko i te hinengaro, hei hirihiri i te ngākau, hei korikori i te tinana i runga anō i te koa me te hari.
The Kaumātua programme is free and is open to all Kuia and Koroua in Thames, Paeroa, Whangamata & Whitianga.
The door is open to anyone over the age of 50, male or female, no matter where you come from, or your ethnic group.

Te Korowai Hauora o Hauraki provides a free Mirimiri service in an informal way at the different kaumātua rōpū monthly programmes. A combination of techniques is used to gently balance wellness of body, mind and soul.
Our Mirimiri practitioner has a broad range of skills, knowledge and experience in Alternative Healing, Reiki, Rongoā Māori, Reflexology Therapy, Body Electronics etc.
This service enables our Kuia and Koroua to embrace a traditional, iwibased holistic approach to their on-going wellness and is available to all those attending our kaumātua rōpū monthly programmes.
Our Mirimiri service is an excellent way to work with Kuia and Koroua within a culturally safe environment, to support and motivat them to relax, providing a sense of calmness from stress and tension.
Kaumātua self-refer to this service during the Kaumātua rōpū monthly programmes. Appointments outside of the Kaumātua rōpū monthly programmes are currently not being accepted.

In addition to our specialist Kaumātua Services, we also provide programmes such as Whānau Ora Navigators, the Quit 4 Good Stop Smoking Programme and Whānau Ora Employment & Education all aimed at improving the overall health and wellbeing of our Hauraki community.
Te Korowai Hauora o Hauraki also delivers an Iwi Health Promotion focused on rangatahi. The programme has two strands, Nutrition & Physical Activity and Sexual Health.
Nutrition & Physical Activity supports and empowers people within the Hauraki rohe to achieve improved wellbeing and reduce obesity-related disease.
The service assists in reducing ill-health and premature death, resulting from diet-related disease (diabetes, cardiovascular disease, stroke, gout, skeletal and joint problems, sleep apnoea) and increases the ability of whānau to access and achieve a healthier wellbeing (through increased knowledge and improved access to resources).
Sexual Health targets the age group 12+, with the team working collaboratively with communities and provider organisations to sustain healthy and supportive environments for whānau. Referrals can be made by direct contact with the Iwi Health Promotion team. This is not a personal health/ clinical service although personal health providers may be given assistance with resources or developing interventions.
