Ngā puke ki Hauraki, ka tārehua
E mihi ana ki te whenua
E tangi ana ki te tangata.
Ko Moehau ki waho
Ko Te Aroha ki uta
Ko Tīkapa te moana
Ko Hauraki te whenua
Ko Marutūahu te tangata.

In the early 1990s the health landscape in Aotearoa underwent significant reform, a process which offered the Hauraki Māori Trust Board the opportunity to develop an iwi-based health care service to provide for their local community.

Centred on the unique health needs of the people of this region, the service would place Hauraki whānau and Kaupapa Māori approaches at its core.

The Board established Te Korowai Hauora o Hauraki after undertaking a thorough health needs assessment of the Hauraki rohe.

Our PeopleTātou Tangata

Te Korowai Hauora o Hauraki is proud of its staff.

Covering clinical, mental health, public health and kaumatua services, our team members are chosen for their knowledge and skill and their dedication in working towards making the Hauraki a healthier nation.
